La Jolla 10/27 Report - Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Water’s Edge

Easy fishin for these guys - could do this every day if I had the time. I didn't get the mussels but evidently any of the ones off the inlet rocks at mission beach will do fine - make sure to bring a stiff knife to break them off. Just use a 2 or 3 ounce weight at the bottom and a small hook off the side a little ways up.

I'm going for the goats next time. . .and yes 12" is the minimum size - we tossed a couple back that need to grow up and become big fat yellowtail - oh wait, that was in my dreams. . .
