I wouldnt put a motor mounted through scuppers. Bolt a piece of Aluminum Angle across the kayak behind the seat or use Riv-nuts to make more easily removed.
We do the BassYaks motors a lot, they are awesome but start at 500.00. And yes once you motorize it youll need CF Numbers. Last I heard was 15.00 for 2 years.
