One way valve would be good too. I think the best thing to do in combination with the one way valve, is to put the exit hole in a position that will not allow water to enter, but also in a position so that the tube inside the kayak can make a loop so that it is higher than the exit hole. Kinda of like an upside-down drip loop, if that makes sense. Basically the water would need to run uphill to enter the kayak.
