La Jolla 10-6 (Lost Rod)

Took the tandem rental from OEX with the lady, successfully launched from the surf (this is only our 2nd time kayaking but this time we brought our fishing gear). After launching, we headed out of the marine reserve towards the first kelp forests.
After around 30 minutes of paddling we stopped to rig up our gear. While rigging it up, it was then we started getting motion sickness did not expect that at all as we were both well experienced with boating, but not of this size....
Soon after i was forced to lay on my back as it got worse. The lady landed one small sole which was infested with parasite amphipods...absolutely disgusting but sad.
Then it happened, my rod slipped from behind me and before i knew it was too deep to retrieve.....
Now I know there are some divers in the area, so if at all possible, I would GREATLY appreciate it if someone could notify me if they happened to pick it up.
The rod is a Shimano Sojourn 2 piece rod med-light action.
The reel is a Shimano Saros 3000.
I'm not even sure if its saveable or accessible by divers, but due to its sentimental value as being my first saltwater set up, i thought i would try posting here.
Thanks to all of you and tight lines-

Jin
