Original is V1, in 2009 V2 was made. Big differences instead of a set screw the fin masts are threaded, idler cable on v2 has a nut on each end, V1 had brass cap on one end and nut on other end. Drum was redesigned on V2. Hobie recently discontinued replacement parts for V1, so came up with a V2 upgrade kit for $120
