Aye chi - f'n kelp

Ok maybe it wasn't the kelps fault, but I gotta blame something.

Got to the launch this afternoon. Blowin. Good parking spot so decided to launch. Ran into a pber' chewed the fat. Surf builds on the outside then settles.

Finally launch into a bad set. No problem. Go back to the beach and see how the new hatch seals look. They are working better, but some water still inside and I drain it out.

Launch again, but I'm a little winded, sugar is low(my fault) and I launch during a lull. The first wave dumps a KELP PADDY onto my yak. Instead of ripping it off and waiting for the next lull I rip it off and try to paddle - F ME!

I was surprised how quickly I hit a wall messing around in the surf. I should have eaten before I launched .

OH well I did lose a gaff. The Avets are in great shape to my surprise.
