I got up early this morning with full intentions of going through whatever the LJ launch had to give. Maybe a little cold, but hey I'm tough, right? After scrapping the ice off of my windows, I loaded up and drove down to the launch. With the tide rolling just up to the entrance, I did not want to brave the very soft sand without being able to run off the other side, So I just sat there and looked at the surf for a bit. There was absolutely no chance of a dry launch, with a larger NW swell coming right into the cove. It looked like the chances were even better at catching one over the whole kayak. The larger waves were breaking as far out as my high beams would go, and the temp in my truck said the outside temp was 36 degrees ....hmmm..... I chose the warm and comfy decision! Now loaded on coffee so I can't go back to bed... I thought I would share my wimpy moment with all of you smart enough to stay in bed this morning! Good fishing to the rest of you die-hards paying your dues!
