Dark All Nighter For Zip But...

the morning's gray was very good to me...a 26# & a 30#. The night before was a long, hard one of Cokes and other concoctions of the caffiene kind. Got to meet Lamb "The Halibut Slayer" on the water. Lamb's words of advice just before he took off to the warmer waters of the South went something like: "hey, the odds of you being the first kayaker out here to catch something tonight is like really, really high"...Yes, I found myself alone for some long hours...As Lamb's boat faded out in the dark, this weekend warrior was thinking "okay, the wsb bite I was hoping for probably wasn't going to be all that".... Those kind of nights are painfully long...

Nailed these early, paddled home at 7:50am and made my daughter's soccer game in O.C. at 2pm...pissed off the wife by sleeping off yesterday...but I'm smiling on the inside...
