I nearly bought an OK Torque myself last year, but opted to buy a Malibu Stealth 14 and outfit it with a 46# thrust Bassyaks saltwater motor & "lift kit". The lift kit allows you to raise and lower the motor from a sitting position in the yak. With Bassyaks motors (MinnKota) , you steer with the pedals just like in the Torque. It's a nice set-up and a helluva a lot cheaper than the Torqueedo. The drawback is the heavy battery of course. I had CJ at OEX Mission Bay rig mine all up, and they did a fantastic job. Go to http://bassyaks.com/ if you're interested. ACK sells the Torqeedo - you can see it here. http://www.austinkayak.com/products/...ing-Motor.html I'm hoping that as battery technology improves each year, soon I'll be able to replace the Optima Blue Top with something lighter. I tested the Torqeedo out on a Hobie Outback, and although powerful, I felt it had a bit of vibration and was noisy compared to the MinnKota. Here's a few pics of the Bassyaks on my rig...
