GPS issues? - Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Water’s Edge

got an elite 4 with GPS. for some reason it cant locate me while in my garage (or driveway) but as soon as im on the water it gets a good signal... im thinking this might be a problem for lakes.

anyone have the same issue?

Satellites for the gps are all direct line of sight You must be outside with a clear line to two of the satellites in order to get a reading. Unless you are in a very narrow cove in a gorge you should be okay.

I have the same problem with my Elite 4, but as soon as I get a clear sight to the sky I'm fine. Although I got mine wet the other day at LJ and was having issues, got to go out and check it after its had a chance to dry out.
