Heading home with a Jackson cuda!

What's up guys, I haven't been around since I moved up to redding but I'm going to be back in SD next week. I'm looking to do some fishing Monday morning and all day Tuesday. I'm bring down the new cuda from Jackson kayak to try some southern salt. If any one is going to be around hit me up, I'm always looking for some company. I'm thinking about hitting shelter island first.

heres my report, i finally got out on tuesday morning. I launched from shelter island around 7 am and made my way across the channel. I tried to make some bait around the old jetty but could only scratch up one massive jack smelt. So I was back to throwing plastics. First cast was a 13" hali, then another hali a little smaller. I was hoping mom was home but no luck. I made my way back across the channel and hit up the south end of the SI. That area has been my go to hali spot over the years and heard a report of nice fish hooked earlier in the day. that was the last of my halibut hopes, it was spotty central the rest of the day. I was fishing 6lb test on my trout rod and having a blast. I was also able to sneak out later that night to hit up glorietta bay for some night bassin. The jackson cud a was a dream to paddle. all day comfort in the seat department, glides like a dream, and has a built in butter holder! After years in malibu's and ocean kayaks the jackson is a speed machine.
