Tidelands 4-11 evening

Looks like there wasnt any takers to meet up at Tidelands. It turned out nice enough going solo. Got to Tidelands 3:45, wind is howling, whitecaps, and on top of that I know the swell isnt moving worth a darn...but I decide to fish anyways.

Fish just outside the sailboats for a couple short bites, nothing sticks, decide to go out to the channel and let the wind take me south. Was fairly consistent picking up spotties on the deadstick. Decide to make a move, time to try for Mr. Grumpy in a secret spot (hint: between 18-19, 1 mile south). Drift over the spot, for 30 seconds or so...SLAM...(on the Gulp shrimp). Couple of looks at the yak and hes back down again, couple mins later comes up for the final time, gaff shot, in the boat. This guy was a hoot on 6 lb.

The wind laid down nicely, and it was glass everywhere.

On the way in, decide to snap a couple purdey pictures of the sun going down over the bridge, while amazed at how good these camera phone pictures turn out.

Man I love San Diego.
Was debating to put the picture up with my ugly mug on it, hope it doesnt offend anyone...hahaha. Nice way to wrap up the week. Cant wait to bbq him tomorrow

Thanks for the info. I'll feel safer knowing "Jaws" is out of there
