Buying used question

Why would anyone buy a used ( dozen times ) 2020 Hobie PA fully loaded $6600 when you can get everything brand new yourself for $7000? When you buy brand new, you may spend less because you may not need all the things in the used package. You would also get exactly what you wanted.

I'm just asking because I think $400 saved is not enough for a purchase of this type. That's all. I could be wrong but I'm trying to help my friend buy a kayak and I really don't know which way he should go.

Supply and Demand.

Low supply, High demand.

That’s my only guess.

That makes total sense right now. Covid is messing up supply. I'll tell him to wait till next year.
Thanks

Yeah if he can wait, he should. I suspect after things cool down with Covid you will see a flood of “used” 2020 kayaks on the market next year.

Or what if people don't go back to work, at some point, there are going to be some fire-sale bargains if this COVID situation does not change.
