new in the forom -from isreal - Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Water’s Edge

i am new here , and my name is menash. i am fishing from my ocean k2 for 5 years.
in isreal there are 25 paddlers in the forom, the forom is 5 monts old.
jiging in isreal is in the bigining and we are some kayakers that want to start jig.
i would be thankful if somone will tell me which reels, rod and lines you are using for the yt.
i am paddeling to defts of 120 feet and its 2.5 mails from the shore and tere are yt over ther.
by the way' i started to reed in this forom and sunce then i am amaized what you are doing with your kayaks.
so thanks and i need some details on your reels and rods.

Menash, Welcome aboard. Everybody has their favorites, for deep jigging you want a 6 1/2 foot rod rated in the 20-50 pound class, use 30-40 pound mono line. I like the Shimano Speedmaster and the Diawa SL20, you want something with a minimum 4 to 1 gear ratio, with 6 to 1 being ideal for me.

I would love to see you post reports and pictures of your fishing adventures.

Just follow Iceman or Madscientst around. I think we all have tried that tactic at least once. It probably will make u feel like less of a man, because they will consistently get fish, as we consistenly return with only bruised egos.... But you will for sure learn some new ways to rig and how to look like a professional kayak fisherman, minus the fish.

i waked up this morning and i was very glad for the answers that i have seen. i learnd a lot on your kindnes and your goodwill to shere your knowlege. i started to look out for those reels and rod and to reed about the reels freformenc.
a big thanks to swinginfish for his messege (i am writing you back).
for now i am going to reed your reports and try to learn fron it, till i rich the rod and reel i need for it.
i am sory if i have mistaks un my english, i finished hi-school befor 16 years ago, and i havent write in english at list 6 years.
i hop that in fridy i will have a report to write (its my yak fishing day)

hey don't worry about your spelling, there are a lot of us here that were born speaking english and still have trouble spelling. I for one am a cajun from Louisiana, which to most here is a foreign country so i think your english is swell.

Your enthusiasm for fishing came thru loud and clear, launguage barriers aside.
