That's a sweet reel. What do you plan on using it for. You could put it on a 7' to 8' ml for the south bay. Or a m for the eel grass. Or a mh for fishing structure ( rocks or piles). Just a few suggestions.

I am actually thinking of using this reel for several applications.

Freshwater LMB at Otay Lakes the most evil lake known to mankind!

SD Bay south bay

Calico

So it appears that I can use several different rods.

Freshwater guys are crazier with their rods than saltwater. Bass guys seem to need at least 5 to 10 rods when they go out!

Graftech GIS80H available.
8' 20-30 with the twin cork handles and a trigger reel seat.
Had the tip replaced by Squidco not too long ago.
Rod is in good shape. Not great but not in any way beaten.
Strong rod, plenty of power, superb feel and sensitivity.
I work in Otay so can meet you off the 805 so you can check it out.
Yours for $60.

That is a good deal but a little heavier rod than what I need it for. But I might check it out let me think about it.
