Has anyone tried their New Dragonfly 5 yet. Interested to know how well the charting works. Navonics Plus or Gold. Thanks

Have not tried the new DF Bob, but looks like it's an improvement on the older one I have. I'd assume the mapping works the same. I have Gold which is a nice upgrade over stock maps, but I may upgrade even further to Plus for even more extra contour detail.

My only complaint about mine is that you have to choose between saving screenshots or using the Gold card. It's minor for me because there was only a very few times that I've wanted to capture a screenshot but quickly got over it. Once your nav card is installed you can't really save screenshots because you need to remove the nav card and install a regular memory card in that single card slot to save to, which isn't practical on the water. A second card slot would be great, but they seem to have went another route and solved that issue by making this new unit wireless so now you can stream straight to your cell phone and save images that way.

I don't think you need to think too much, it's a great unit. If the price is right then just go for it, you won't be disappointed.
