I checked my airline to see if they allow kayaks and they don't. Was going to offer to let him bring it with me since I'm leaving for NYC and coming back in 2 weeks. Guess most airlines let you bring it for a fee.

Did he check if his allowed it?

Too much of a hassle dropping/and picking up from airport

Yup that's what I would do. Especially since you can get more $ on east coast.

Better of selling it. I can't imagine shipping being under $500.

Forward Air no longer accepts Non Inflatable Watercraft except from certain companies such as ourselves due to our track record with no claims.

We shipped a boat with Pilot recently and they were fairly reasonable and quick (330 for a Pro Angler 14 with 2 large boxes going with it, shipped to Florida).

ABF YRC and Old Dominion are the other popular companies that are used. It should run 200-300 to ship especially if you go LTL.

Old Dominion or Pilot are both good company's. Have friends in both and no, can't get you discount but good thought.
