Thoughts on Hummingbird 153? - Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Water’s Edge

I happened upon the 50% off sale (even for items already marked-down) at Sport Chalet near my house - we all know what happens next.

I had no intentions of getting a fishfinder... but they had a Hummingbird 153 on sale for just under $80 bucks. With the 50% discount, my out-the-door price was just below $40.00 and it was too good to pass up. They hooked me. Those inventory managers got me.

What do you guys think? I figure at the very least it would tell me if I was fishing a desert and at least help me find bait and depth instead of blindly trolling around.
