Crickets on this thread, lol. I can share a small update. I called a kayak shop in Stuart that occasionally gets Scupper 14s. The owner says it's a great fitness and calm water kayak, but it wouldn't be the best on the ocean or for fishing. The seat is positioned lower than most sit-on-tops, so to avoid having your butt in an inch of water you have to close the scupper valves. To drain water you have to get up to about 5 knots and open the valves. That sounds like a giant pain for surf launching when you want the water to drain out those holes fast, and you might not have much forward momentum. Nonetheless, I hope I can still demo one day. The shop owner recommended the 11’10” Profish GT or 14’9″ Profish Reload from Viking. They're both lighter than my Trident.
