First time catching a rockfish (?) not sure which species he is.

La Jolla, Thursday, off bottom somewhere around what some people call "the bump"?
The gov site for fish ID is kinda vague, can't tell if this is a canary or cowcod, or some other species of rockfish.

Before anyone accuses me of anything: I don't keep fish I can't ID, and he was too small to consider keeping regardless. I'm just curious what he was is all.
