I only caught 1 Rainbow (about the size of a large sardine) in 2 hours, but that isn’t too surprising given the time of day we were fishing. Regardless, it is beautiful here (this is my first time fishing Silver Lake). I will try again tonight and hopefully earlier in the morning. Any suggestions on trolling speed when using Thomas Bouyants, Needlefish, and similar lures?
Fishing between gray light and 7am has been the best time. 4p- dusk is okay if the wind is down.
