A little more info guys,
Baytuber tournaments have been going on for years.

Kiyo and the crew were doing these get togethers back when kayak fishing forums were barely heard of.
I joined Baytubers in 2007 and at that time we had a tournament every month, with a "BIG Summer Tournament" in August.

Kiyo "retired" about 2 years ago and we are doing our best to continue a fun old tradition.
We try and have a tournament about 4 times a year now.

B.W.E. has always been a welcome part of the fun; Dave (dorado 50) won one of the La Jolla tournaments a couple years ago with a nice yellowtail. (Then fed us like kings the following month)

We also used these tournaments to raise money to fight the MLPA back in the day. (MLPA)

Couple of current facts;
The tournaments are halibut only for now.
You can weigh in 3 fish, with the largest combined weight being the tournament winner.
All halibut must be minimum 24" to be eligible for weigh in.
Tournament cost $25 to enter.
We fish 6am-2pm.
We then have our traditional pot luck, where the winner from the previous tournament cooks the main course and everyone else brings some kind of side dish etc.

There is more too it of course, if you have a question just ask.

All are welcome,
good times and good food guaranteed.
Don
