8/20 LJ Offshore Hunting

Met Ken around 6 am on the beach and headed out. Bait was tough but we managed to get enough spanish to finally keep heading West. Lots of birds once we hit the drop off. Looked promising, but nada. Kept heading West to 8 miles and turned around. Saw a mako catapult out of the water and later had one cruise by us. Saw a hammerhead swim by me as well as a fin back whale and porpoise came through us twice. Several paddies holding bait but nothing else. Water ranged from 71.5 to 73. Killer conditions over all.

Heading in I got tagged by a YT in 285 feet on my only greenback, then Ken released one on a spanish. I released one more. Landed 5pm, 11 hour day, then 2.5 hour drive home. Glad I did not have fish to clean....................this time.

Same ol Same ol video Never gets old!
