October 5th and 6th
Went to channel island harbor Saturday. Meet Cronus there around 5:30 launched around six. Headed south to find some spots for the clash of the kayaks tournament.
Found some spots but only managed one kelp bass and hooked into something big. Was unable to land.
There where bait balls every where. Odd no predator fish chasing them. The birds didn’t seem to care either.
Sunday went to deer creek and had better luck. The kelp bass bite was hot for an hour and then died.
First pics are Saturday last are Sunday.
Also had a small whale swim by.
