I've gotten a lot of inquiries as to when to show up for the event and what it will entail from a lot of first times volunteers. That's great, I'm happy to see MORE and MORE people interested in the SoCal Chapter!

For any lurkers, first timers, or people that think they don't have anything to contribute. You do.

We like to see the majority of our volunteers arrive between 0600-0630. Once we have enough people to offload the trailer, some will help with setting up the grills, table, canopy, etc. Others will help us offload all of the yaks, paddles, PFD's, rods, etc. Then we get an inventory of what we have and what we'll use for that particular event. We stage the yaks on the beach along with the "on the water mentors" kayaks. When the event is over, we do those tasks in reverse order.

Sooooo the more people we have the easier it is on everyone.

If you are on baby duty, or your spouse wanted to "hang out" that day.... Bring them!

Thanks BWE, we'll see you out there!
