I also have an original and equipped with the kayatank (mine is also sans the fish hold) its hands down the most versatile kayak in my small stable. That includes a Hobie revo and tarpon 120. Its great paddling stable and tracks very well even without a rudder. It handled some pretty rough conditions at Catalina and left me feeling quite confident in the kayaks abilities to handle some rough conditions. After looking at some other designs (OK most notably) I think I really like that Malibu have put in more than enough scuppers. Its the best purchase I ever made. Still lovin' it!
