However, you are seeing a cone-shaped area that extends in front, behind and to both sides. The deeper the water you are fishing, the further it extends in all directions at the bottom. Also, the 200 khz ping shoots a narrower cone than the 83 or 50khz pings. But the later will give you deeper returns.
