Take it from somebody who fishes for trout all the time; trolling a 1/6 oz. Thomas Buoyant(my favorite is the blue with red, black and yellow dots) is the way to go. When you find a hot spot, try casting, but trolling is the way we catch 90% of them. Check out some

I'd rather be fishing for yellowtail or WSB, but they are kinda scarce around here, so trout it is!
