Option 1) Buy your unit with the gold mapping, if you can get it for a good price. Then after a year, upgrade to plus.
Option 2) decline the gold card, and go straight for the plus because the maps are more descriptive.
Depends on the deals you can get on the included gold card when you buy unit. But the $99 is well worth the better maps in my opinion
