The switch bypass sounds like the most long term hassle free way to go though. What kind of plug are you using? Something simpler than the O.E. Hobie plug I'm guessing...I can hardly get it unplugged on my workbench...I don't how I'd do it on my yak.

I'm using the stock plugs and I can plug both ends with one hand.
