I let mine pretty much completely deflate. The tire still has enough rigidity with little to no air in it to hold up my kayak with upwards of 100 lbs of gear. Yea there's wheels that are 10x better than them but they work fine for me, I was still able to pull my yak across the sand and up the hill faster than Frank with his fancy wheels that took 2 people and 5 minutes for him to get the yak on them
