I would of paddled for my life to the nearest boat and jumped on, and would of tossed any fish i had on board and start yelling GREAT WHITE!!!!:gnorsi:

Interesting that the GW seemed just as interested in the skiff as the yaks. And three different colors of yaks, and none seemed to gather his attention more than the others.

As you saw in the video I would have stayed very calm. That Shark was looking for something to be that interested in the boats. I've seen many of those specials that show sharks eating surfboards and the such. That was a big shark and it was for sure interested in them.

bigbarrels 02-02-2011 08:01 PM

mistake it for a thresher and try to catch it......although, they don't seem to like Spanish Mackeral.........it is just a matter of time and I'm sure we will all have a similar experience otw

I remember a few years back a guy and his girlfriend dissappeared while kayaking off point Dume. All they found was broken up kayaks with bite marks.

Ever since I saw the third image below, I have been avoiding red kayaks and surfboards. The red kayak incident happened a couple of years ago up north, ventura or santa barbara?

Blue or green kayaks are good choices, but the custom kelp forest pattern is the best. Right Jim?

With the bait situation and all the past year to date GW's could be around "no take" zones in greater numbers this year....

So I guess in Australia they still let you drink beer on the beach.... I guess they don't know that drinking beer on the beach causes riots and all kinds of evil....
