The cycle for 2009 - 2010 is looking like the 2004 - 2005, but we do not seem to be getting rain right now like we did in 2004 - 2005; at that time I recorded 24 inches of rain at my house for fall 2004 - spring 2005.

I also went through my pictures of dorado, marlin, yt, and yellowfin caught just outside Dana Point harbor starting in late July through late November, both south towards San Onofre and west toward the 14 mile and the dates on the pictures seem to correspond with the months/year on the chart when the temps were red during the late summer and fall months.

Interesting information you have supplied! Thanks :luxhello:

Marlin... on a kayak? Now that would be interesting.

If you are referring to my comment of catching marlin out of Dana Point, that was on my boat 3 years ago. At the time, I was surprised how many we raised trolling the jigs between the 14 mile bank and Dana Point. I had been told how hard they are to catch off Southern California, but from what I saw the last couple of years, I observed the opposite.
