Four hours in a Norwegian fjord, only caught one..
My second trip report, same result as yesterday...
But what a nice day on the water!! Drove directly from work to a place called Vaksdal, just outside Bergen, the second largest (and prettiest:) ) city in Norway. This is a place that has been reported to have many escaped Rainbow trouts, and I set out to try to catch a few of them... But as the pictures tells, I did not get lucky this time... But next time!!!:) http://sportsfiske.nu/foto/arkiv/32059/79797_s.jpg Fullversjon: http://sportsfiske.nu/foto/arkiv/32059/79797.jpg On the road again:) http://sportsfiske.nu/foto/arkiv/32059/79798_s.jpg Fullversjon: http://sportsfiske.nu/foto/arkiv/32059/79798.jpg The view from the place where I launched my kayak. http://sportsfiske.nu/foto/arkiv/32059/79799_s.jpg Fullversjon: http://sportsfiske.nu/foto/arkiv/32059/79799.jpg Finaly on the water! http://sportsfiske.nu/foto/arkiv/32059/79800_s.jpg Fullversjon: http://sportsfiske.nu/foto/arkiv/32059/79800.jpg No rodholders yet, so had to cross my rods and use some 0,60mm as rodleash. http://sportsfiske.nu/foto/arkiv/32059/79801_s.jpg Fullversjon: http://sportsfiske.nu/foto/arkiv/32059/79801.jpg The "Sørfjorden":) calm waters, blue sky, snow on the mountaintops. http://sportsfiske.nu/foto/arkiv/32060/79802_s.jpg Fullversjon: http://sportsfiske.nu/foto/arkiv/32060/79802.jpg This island is actually part of one of the largest prisons in Norway. my wifes dads side of the family are all from Norway (Pedersen) Simply beautiful keep up the reports and thanks for sharing:luxhello: |
refreshing....bet those Fjords have some insane dropoffs.
|
Thanks for the report and great pictures.. How do I get arrested and sent to this beautiful place?? I did fudge on my income taxes one year - does that qualify? In America it would be considered cruel & unusual punishment to not provide a kayak and fishing gear to each inmate.
|
Awesome pics, looks so tranquil out there on the water.:)
|
nice pics, looks like you would use a couple of rod holders on that boat!
|
Sweet pics!!! Lake looks awsome!!
Take it easy! Aaron |

Thanks for the correction.
I have an X Factor and love it! Caught allot of fish on it, and can also fit my 5 year old on the back. Good luck with it~:cheers1: |
What other kinds of fish do you catch locally? Do you ever catch salmon? My grandmother was from Norway so I've always had an interest in things Norwegian, so I enjoyed Your post a lot. Thanks.

:reel:Hey Aleksander, you should have took a Swede along if you wanted more fish! It looks amazing there, -hope to see it one day, my Dad spoke of the fjords as being the most beautiful waters in the world... we are planning on taking a cruise around Norway up to the Arctic Circle, in a couple of years.
Thanks for a great report hope you post many more:D. K.Swenson |
