New Kayak Killbag

Hey guys n gals, just wanted to let everybody know about Reliable Fishing Product's new game bag for kayaks.

If you have or anyone you know with a skiff, they probably have one of their kill bags. I got mine last week and mounted it on the bow of my Cuda 14. It fits perfectly and secures pretty solidly with a couple straps and a carabiner.

I used it last Wednesday when I went fishing. I stuffed it with two 7# bags of ice, stuffed a yellow in there and it still had ice when I landed and the meat on the fish was pretty firm already.

OEX MB is getting some in this week if you wanna come by and check them out. Like I mentioned above, rigging them to be secure is really easy and you know OEX has all the odds and ends kind of parts to figure out the solution to get it to work on your yak.

Last I heard on the company FB page was around $175, I've been using the Native fish bag (large) and like it a lot.

Tony, it's probably gonna be about $175. When we get them in the shop, we'll let everyone know.

I tested it out though and it worked pretty well. Being that it's double insulated, it holds enough ice to keep your catch cold all day.

Do they make one any smaller? Might be a little overkill for me

Why does it have to be white? Blood and white don't mix.

Because it absorbs the least amount of sunlight?

I wish I had that kind of confidence to bring a cooler with ice on my kayak. You need a fishing buddy?

When you have 20# yellow + ice loaded on the bow of your kayak. Landing in the surf would be tricky?

I had some swell on the way in and it an issue. I thought I would maybe have an issue but it was no problem coming in.

If you clean your bag when you clean all the rest of your gear after each trip it's no problem. I always use Simple Green on all my stuff with a brush and all the blood came right off. Easy day.

That looks awesome Jarrod. I have a different reliable kill bag and the thing is pretty bullet proof. Very heavy duty and keeps ice for a couple days.
