I NEED MORE POWER!!!!!!!

Alright guys I need Suggestions:

I am going Camping for a week. I need power to recharge my Kayak stuff.

How do you do it?

I was thinking maybe Goal Zero yeti 400 with the 30 watt Solar Panel. ( but that is not going to be nearly enough to charge up all my stuff. )

I have two 12v 10amp batteries that require a full charge, and I also need to recharge my 6v bait tank, and I need to recharge my go pro batteries and my Radio?

Another guy suggested to buy a Kyocera 140watt Solar panel and leave it in top of the car to charge everything.

Then I was thinking to buy a huge marine 12v 60amp battery, and buy a inverter to plug in my junk.

I Do not want to charge it from my car battery.

Run a cable from the RV generator in the campsite next to you? Throw him a 20?

Other than solar or a big battery and inverter, the only other option I can offer is a thermo electric generator. Type that and camping into Google and you should have some options. I've used industrial ones for work.

You need a deep cycle battery and a hobby grade charger capable of lead acid. No inverters and a selectable charge rate.

Frank camping....

There are SO many problems with that scenario.......

Frank, I fished Thurs eve, Fri morning and eve, Sun morn and a short eve session on our trip to baja. I never even needed my 2nd LiFePo4 12v 12a battery.

@ Jorge, I am starting to think you rob banks with all the money you have and all the time you can take off.

@ Greg, I will give in. I will invest in one.

I'm fortunate enough to work for a company that will gives its employee's 3weeks of vacation time every year starting from your first year.

GregAndrew 05-23-2014 08:10 AM

That is nothing Jorge, my company will let you take the rest of your life off if you take 5 days in a row. Or at least make you reapply ;).

I use this Honda EU100i generator to recharge my 22NF 12 v. batteries (for my BassYaks motor) when I'm camping or whatever. The power is so clean you can run a laptop computer off it. Yeah, it's on the expensive side... but it runs so quiet you won't bother anyone with it... it's that quiet. Just a thought...

Bring a deep cycle and hobby charger. I have a couple AGM Group 8D's with over 200 Amp Hour's each. Holding 13.4 volts..... Over $500 new.....$200 if you need one.

I got almost 6 weeks PTO from my last company and finding time to go fishing was still tough... Dam kids.
