Outside MB Jetty

The water conditions outside the Mission Bay jetty were horrible. Swells were over head and moving fast. I stayed out there by the OB pier just long enough To get this 26inch. Not the size I was looking for, but better than I've been catching lately.

Hard work is rewarded again.

Congrats, you amaze me!

P.S. Three weeks ago at Mission Bay you said said it's about time on the water. I spent the time and bought a great grilled Halibut dinner.

Lol yes, and it true. Keep trolling around with that bait down there with a heavy weight bouncing around and it bound to happen. You may even wake up a 20 pounder to a fresh dine right in front of him.

Thanks guys, all of you. It was nice to get one outside of my comfort zone, the SD Bay.

Congrats, you shouldn't complain about catching one that size. At least you caught a legal which adds at least 3lbs more of fresh halibut filets.

Don't get too spoiled on those 30+lbers :p

All in all, quite a good day.

Ha ha Not complaining. Just ready to get bent over the side of the yak with the rod tip in the water again. That's usually a tale tale sign that it's a real good one ;)

Nice job!

PE.rider 09-20-2013 01:02 AM

You're making it look too easy. Congrats on the catch!

Deamon 09-21-2013 06:29 PM

Hmmm, seems you do pretty well in your comfort zone as well. Good job on expanding your horizons and thanks for your motivational posts.
