Fishing can't be your only hobby....

Otherwise what would you do when the bite is slow?

Lately I've gotten into some home brewing with my neighbor. But after the 5th or 6th batch I was asking myself....where the hell am I going to keep all this beer? So, I built a bar

This is my first time doing a serious wood project. I built skate ramps whenI was in highschool. I've also never tiled before. A lot went into this project, more than I thought at first. When I got into this I was like "Heh, a deep freezer, some wood and some tiles, no big deal"
Next thing I know I'm at Home Depot every two hours getting $20'd to death. The Co2 manifold, the faucets, the shanks, the SS hose clams, the moulding and the temperature regulator all add up so fast.

Anyway, without further adue. My first bar :D
What's cooler than having home brewed beer on tap in your kitchen? :cheers1:

Way to go Neil. When you said That you were building a bar I didn't expect this!

We'll have to arrange a little drinking/ fishing weekend very soon. You supply the cold beer, I'll bring the hot chicks and the weird Polish guy with b.s. fishing stories. (ok, one out of two ain't bad.)

:cheers1:

Dannowar 02-10-2013 03:00 PM

I'm not impressed until you have beer lines running through your PA sideboards

That's something to think about. When the bite stinks I'm usually building rods or tying flies.(like now, while waiting for my HOBIE). I need another diversion!!! Nice job on the bar! I like to do a little carpentry, the last time I did anything with wood I did some routing on my wall shelves for decoration.
FFY.

I dig it. You should build me one ;) Hopefully I'll have 4wheel drive back soon on the Jeep.

And the kayak is sold, Neil. Trying to get a skiff!

Let's have a fish feast at your house! We can all bring some fish... those that have some. And some stories. And maybe someone can bring some bugs...? hah!

Nice hobby! :cheers1:

ful-rac 02-11-2013 04:04 PM

Robfish's La jolla mansion is a better venue....!:cheers1: :luxhello:

RobFish 02-11-2013 05:07 PM

This is neat!
First, I learned that I have a mansion.
Now I just learned that it's in La Jolla.
What's next? A Ferrari? A supermodel wife?
Not sure that I'd want either actually. Maintenance on both is expensive.
I'll stick with my F350 and random morally casual women.
