Transformer kayak

My friend is looking for a kayak, but storage has been a problem for him, so i just saw this on Bass Pro, and did some research, they had some pretty good reviews in other countries.

Do you guys think is safe enough??

:iagree: I wouldn't take this on the ocean either!
I don't know if I would even take it on a lake... Maybe in a pool because atleast there I plan on getting wet.

How many of you have tried the Tequila or even seen it in person?

The manufacturer isn't home-rolling these in the garage. Point 65 makes some wicked kayaks, including foul weather touring kayaks and surf skis.

When assembled, there's no play between the segments (on the model I played with). There's more to it than interlocking shapes - the parts also strap together. I'm not afraid of it.

Keep in mind the single is only 10 ft long. That's far from ideal for an ocean boat. He'd be working far too hard to get anywhere. That's why your friend should consider other options first, not because it's a jigsaw puzzle. With the center section (the tandem), the Tequila is nearly 14 ft. I'd take it over an inflatable.
