Casitas Lake Info wanted

Anyone ever fished Casitas Lake before? I'm camping there over the 4th of July weekend and was wondering if anyone has fished this lake before. I've read good things about it Good bass action.

the first hour of the day...try top water pop-rs 'n such...
if you get some action keep throwing untill the action stops..
usually if the top water action is gonna work, it will work right away...
if after 15 minutes or so of no boils, move on the the next method....
I'll switch to plastics or Senkos...
Margarita Mutilator and oxblood are my two favorite plastic worms...
I prefer split shotting with plastic worms with light wire Gamakatsu hooks, mostly straight tail on the worms...
small 1/8 BB piched on about a foot above the worm...
next I'll use the 4 or 6" Senko, green watermelon is my go to...
now one more thing that is really cool in that lake is the redear perch and black crappie...get some night crawlers and you can have a party with the redears...their basically bluegill on steroids...the have some slabs in that lake...
as for your kayak...forget it...unless you ahve already done the quarentine...they will not let you bring it on the lake...
shoreline fishing or boat rental is it...
they do rent kayaks, but your money would be better spent renting a skiff!
Good luck, Jimmy!
