Choppy Murky water? Wind? Rain?.... Bugs!

I'll be out of Dana Pt tonight. Wave at me if you are out there. I'm in a sand X-13 with white lights Bow and stern.

No gear? Oh well, you can come out see how its done and come say hi. :wavey:
Bring Beer.

...good luck on the roaches

I just took a walk around DP. I wouldn't go outside the harbor, really choppy and windy out there. Although earlier there was a group of 6 or so guys I saw landing at Doheny, but they weren't fishing. Looked like they had those fancy pants racing yaks.

The harbor patrol was parked near the mouth, not sure they'd let you exit without a warning. Waves were crashing on the breakwater and it was closed to foot traffic.

Oh, yes I'm aware. The Harbor Patrol always gives me a funny look. But they understand. Not to mention, I have reached my limits a time or two in the chop... I know well what they are now. I will be waiting out this coming squall which is right over Dana point now. When it stops, the wind is supposed to die down a bit. If not, I just stay inside the breakwall and do just fine.

Thanks for your concern! I know it's from a good place!

Yea man this thing just hit, should be over and cleared up soon. I didn't know you could hoop inside the harbor here. I should cruise down to take some pics of you getting chop swamped :D

I don't get my babysitter til 6:00 anyway, so I can't even get on the water in the current rain storm anyway. "Storm" LOL that's such a different word in So CA than everywhere else.

Ah, thought you were already down at the launch waiting out this little rain wave. It's almost done. Be safe out there dude.

Barely! LOL Home by 5am. Woked up by my little 6yr old princess at 8:30 asking me... Daddy, why does the spare bedroom smell like fish?

No, no... that's the smell of skunk.

You're funny Daddy...

Yeah.... I know.

87yota4runner 03-02-2014 03:55 PM

Haha right on. So what was the take? Seem better or worse in a storm?

87yota4runner 03-02-2014 04:02 PM

Oh I just saw your report post. Jack n the box tacos are are always a good catch. Haha that's too bad you got swamped. How cold was it?. Actually I'll ask over there.
