So, here's the deal. The gear is rough, but you ought to be able to fish it for a while. Both rods were missing some line guides, and I used them to practice wrapping and to test out some epoxy I thought might be good for cheap fixes. The epoxy sets up SUPER ugly and yellow and not pro at all, but I'm pretty sure it'll work just fine. I will probably never use it on a nice rod, but it's cool enough to get some extra life out of these. The remaining line guides that I didn't replace are shitty and corroded, but not so bad that they'll immediately shred the line, especially since both reels are loaded with spectra. The Jigmaster has some 30# mono as a backing, but I don't think you'll ever get to it. Add your fluoro and a jig and you're ready to go. The TLD is like half full with green power pro, more than enough to catch anything you're going to run into in LJ. TLD is already rigged with kelp-cutting 40# fluoro tippet and a 3/0 Owner Mutu.

Should be a good setup for a cheap bastard or a brand spanking newbie!
