La Jolla Launch Tomorrow 1-11

Looking for info regarding launching at the shores. Anyone launch today? Planning on hitting the park north of the launch and wheeling to smallest surf.

Surf was getting big, only access is stairs or off the wall, and fish were not biting.

We launched today during high tide. Solo might be hard to get down the wall. But the surf was very mellow

Parked in Kellogg park and launched near the hotel. Surf was mild launching and returning. I caught nothing but a few small calicos. I saw about 5 yellow tail hookups and 1 WSB all on fresh frozen squid. Good luck! I may try to hit the water on Tuesday or Thursday!

Sorry for the newbie question but where do you pick up fresh frozen squid?

Asian markets are pretty good for squid.

99 Ranch is a good option if your in the area.

Thanks guys. I knew where to find frozen, just wasn't sure if there was a special place for 'fresh' frozen.:reel:

The san pedro stuff is what you want to find. Dana landing and a couple tackle shops around san duego have it.

+1 on the San Pedro squid. It out fishes all other brands.
