For a skunk again, and they were supposed to have stock 2 weeks in a row. All my limit spots are not producing. Cormorants ospreys eagles and pelicans get alot. But won't give up when I don't catch it exercise size and knot typing practice.

Fking pisses me off.....

To see disrespectful assholes trashing out the lake.
Fking low life's fishing or trying to.

I need to rig my dual sport for fishing. It would be nice to camp in mammoth and make a run to some of the lakes that are only accessible by 4x4 like Laurel

Yep

I totally agree I'm going to be 65 so my klr650 is to big for me to offroad it's just for asphalt.
But I plan on getting a Yamaha tw200 is prefect for me doing exactly what your talking about
90 % of my driving is on the bike.

MITCHELL 01-24-2024 09:17 AM

Tw200

Is lighter on the bumper too, pulling my trailer.

I've used my KTM 790 AdvR for all kinds of 'tent' based fishing. I just listed it though...I find I'm using my Honda CT 125 more and more.

I've done a bit of research on this and I've rented and ridden a tw200 off road and on. It's a decent bike but it feels super old school. Honda has a new bike called the XR150L that's super cheap at 3k vs 5k of the tw. It's 4 pounds heavier and the seat is 1.7 inches taller so maybe still go with the tw200. I really trust hondas for reliability. I just sold my 84 xr250 in the spring and it was still running strong it just got hard to find parts to do some things I wanted but didn't need to do to replace the shift shaft.
There's also a crf230L I would look for. I had a non street legal crf and I loved it. Never should have sold it honestly. They're 11 pounds lighter than the tw and the seat is only .8in higher, but that's a needle in a haystack. I like your idea of these kinds of adventures and may have to get one myself.

I agree with ya

You can buy klr650 cheaper than you can buy the tw200
And I watched a comparison video on the 2 bikes your talking about I like the fat tires on the tw200
My first motorcycle ride was on a Honda 50 v step thu
Honda runs forever when I out grew it the motor was in a mini dune buggie still running and I sold it I was yamaha 175 Enduro then ect.....

The other thing I was looking at is one of the new electric dirt bikes coming out. They're pretty damn light, low maintenance and it would be cool to not make so much noise and they're not crazy expensive. Just can't go super far.

I have a mongoose dolomite fat tire bicycle....

I converted to an E bike with a front wheel drive it go's 25mph but you have to peddle up hills the battery lasted 12 miles. After that you have the weight of the battery motor plus resistance and fat tires working against you and it was a sob to peddle motor less.

MITCHELL 01-29-2024 03:14 AM

Finishing up my post it didn't go through and cut me off...fk

Pisses me off when you type and lose it all time is valuable 💯 I was saying I'm sure E bikes have come along way since my conversion. I have only used mine a few times don't need it in town I'm going to try and sell it for $1500 with the extras I have installed but it's great for getting to the back of the lake shore fishing a small gas power generator will recharge it while camping. I converted it just for the serras and off-road use only I would rather have a regular mountain bike or a motorcycle for the street.
I don't have alot of years left so I don't care about gas
My klr650 get 50mpg and I imagine a tw200 gets 60 or 70mpg and as far as noise I want black bears 🐻 and mountain lions 🦁 know I'm coming as far as bigfoot it already knows I'm there no matter what I'm riding.
Tight lines amgio 😎

MITCHELL 01-29-2024 03:53 AM

My E bike....

2 Attachment(s)
Has custom mud fenders, with Malcolm Smith mud flap locking thief proof battery
And a no slide seat stop, when you have weight on the rack. Kept in doors originally owner ever since I bought it.

MITCHELL 01-29-2024 04:07 AM

Reality check ✔️.....

I probably can't even get my money out of it...let alone all the labor doing the conversion and extras.
So I might as well keep it...
In case it might be my last transportation you never know what can happen.
I can use it to escape the sanitarium, if I get put in one :the_finger:
