LJ 5-30 OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH what a day

Launched at 4:30 and headed to Scripps pier to make bait got there put the sabbili on and turned around to turn on bait tank only problem was it was gone my three custom bait rods and the tank. Headed back to the launch I searched for an 1:30 and gave up headed out to find Andy and he lent me a stick and some bait. Latter in the morning agentleman name Don ask me if I had headed out early and lost anything come to find out he was driving out on the beach when we launched and saw my bait tank and rods and gave them to Wade I never saw Wade today though I am sure we will touch base tonight and I cannot thank Don Enough THANK YOU

I was with Wade this morning and I have your stuff. PM me and we can make arrangements for you to get them back.

The guy that found it was named Dante. Solid guy. He has a pickup and couldn't lock your gear up, so he asked if we would take it. Everything is safe and sound, and rinsed off with clean H2O.

Don

Or Dante ? Surf was a little sketchy today . He taught me how to come in backwards on the PA . :cheers1: . What a righteous person for returning your gear . Imagine seeing a floating tank at grey light , with a bunch of rods secured to it . Like a wet dream . ;).

That was my buddy Dante who found it! Good karma brother, nice work recovering the gear!!!!

Damn dude that's rough. I'd probably be pissed all day and just end up leaving. Glad a stand up guy found your stuff and it's on it's way back. You owe that dude a steak dinner or some beers :cheers1:

That's great news all around. Only thing better, to alleviate your DoH!ness, might have been sticking a nice fish with Andy's rod.

LDO10 05-30-2014 08:19 PM

Glad your gear was saved by some very good people...

JeffB 05-30-2014 08:24 PM

Sux, but nice to know you're getting it all back. Glad we have a community like we do.

Cadillyak 05-30-2014 08:27 PM

Happy to help out. Unfortunately the battery fell out of the bait tank and is gone.

And in the other hand, I saw a rod and reel at 3rd and Orange in Coronado this morning. In traffic, smashed flat.

Was a bummer to see.

That is so cool. It put a smile on my face!

Is it Dante or Donte? If its Donte google it and look up the meaning of it in Wikipedia
