Use my waterfowl waders??

Am I crazy for trying to use my waterfowl waders on the kayak? They are still made of the light weight material, but they do have the attached hefty boots. Maybe I should jump in a pool and see how well I can swim!:D

At least stingrays at the launch will be the least of my concerns.

I was told that if your waders fill with water you will sink so I would test it out and try to see if you can swim in them.

See Jim Sammons video on waders....
as for Fowl waders, with attached BOOTs...or booties? and what kind of kayak,
I don't think you would like peddling in boots, but paddling maybe..

I've worn my waterfowl waders for lobster hooping. I was nice and toasty since they are a 5mm neoprene with 2000g thinsulate boots.

When I bought a hobie I switched to a stocking foot to make the pedals easier. If your paddling the boot foot will be fine. It just looks funny in Mossy Oak Duck Blind camo on the ocean.
