3.5" white swimbaits bounced off the bottom were the key. Rooster tails were not geeting the love like the larger swimbaits..

Cool, and I guess that's a different fish entirely than the hybrid stripes? Ya learn something new every day!

White Bass, Hybrid, Striper...
White Bass tend to have stripes/patterns that stay in line/straight and Hybrids striped tend to be broken up a bit..
Stripers are just bigger..

Nice photos today! -- Always nicer to see pictures of live fish instead of dead.

thanks for the clarification -- nice looking fish either way

makes me want to eat some freshwater fish...which I would hazard I guess I eat, well, never!

We have never kept a fresh water fish in our lifes until moving to Texas 2 years ago. All LMB get released and white bass only run for about 60 days and we genurally keep fish twice.

Good fresh fish is hard to come by unless we go to the gulf so we keep a few now and then just to have fish on the plate.

We practice catch and release 98% of the time..

Absolutely did not know there were white bass in SGR. Don’t even know how long up that river runs. That’s wicked cool.
