Point Loma 05/22

Well attempted to find some ghost fish with my fishing buddy. No luck trolled mackerel around for seven hours. But went to my sheepy spot, pulled a hand full of sheephead, calico bass, and an sand bass.

How are you getting out there?? Shelter Island? It's been years since I fished there.

I know the feeling of trolling a live bait all day for relatively nothing. A 60lb wahoo was recently taken off a kayak in Pompano Beach. A lot of kayakers looking to find the same.

You can launch from the small beach at the point Loma sub base. Much faster than Kellogg's

Isn't the sub base for military personnel only?

Thanks for report, and not to put you down or anything but when I see all the kelp along PL, I would think there are tons of bass down there. Then again fishing has been slow up and down the coast lately. The calm before the storm I hope!
