Monster Yellow Saturday

2 Attachment(s)
Had quite a thrill early Saturday morning out there. Launched early, fished for bait for about 1.5 hours, fished for yellowtail for about 3 minutes before this guy decided to play. Solid hookup, and he ran more than anything I have ever had on before. After one huge kelp tree, a few small stringers, and feeding the seadog dead bait to keep him busy while I gaffed, landed this beauty. Had to be around 35 lbs. Thank you to the guy who stopped to take the pic for me.Attachment 6893

Monster indeed! :cheers1:

Nice job getting that beast on board!
On a good ol' Fish&Dive to boot! :cheers1:

Now you can start working on improving your picture posing techniques :D - always flatten the fish, make sure the tail and the head are at about the same distance from the camera... :D Always try to have multiple pics of your trophy catch taken on the water... :D

Beaut of a tail, congrats again!

Is that Octomoms relative? That thing looks like its been pregnant for 19months .

I would say good job but how can you call 3minutes of fishing a job?

Well, when you catch them that big they get tough to hold out at all the right angles. ;) But I'll work on it.

Congrats and well done - I had a day somewhat like that last December, two bait, two fish - total fishing time was about 2 minutes. The rest of the time I was getting worked over.

Thank you for the post - always appreciate knowing when the fish are biting and others are doing well - - -

I hear ya! Some guys think its so easy to hold bigg fish! Until they get one like yours they will never know. I think lifting weights helps alot!
