Lobster population concentration questions.

Just curious is anyone has some good info I can find on population patterns of lobsters lately. Owyn? Wade?

I've been hooping two different spots pretty aggressively lately and one spot produces 95% males, where as the other has given me 100 % females (this includes shorts)

. I feel like this information could be useful for future research. The two spots are miles away from each other and the results have been consistent over numerous trips.

Wondering what would cause this kind of pattern.

i found the same thing with surf species like bat rays, leopard sharks and shovel nose guitarfish. even though everything i could dig up said nothing about them being gender specific when schooling, i can show you a dozen pics of males from north SD and another dozen that came from south county. seemed to be like that up until July. now they are all mixed and not really in the huge schools they were before.

went to santa monica in the same time period and it was females there. i don't know where the males were hanging out up that way.

I got one for big bay in PDF. I'll pm it to ya later. It's a ridiculously thorough report of migration and populations.
